Midfielder cushioning a football with a soft first touch during a rebounder drill
Training goal · First Touch

Soft touch. Sharp mind.

Your first touch is your first decision. A rebounder, a weighted ball and 15 minutes a day will rewire how you receive — open hips, soft cushion, ready to play forward before the ball arrives.

Frequently asked

Improve First Touch — your questions answered.

How often should I train with this equipment?+

Most players see results from 3–4 short focused sessions per week (20–40 minutes) on top of team training. Quality of reps beats total hours every time.

What size rebounder should I get?+

A 1m × 1m frame is the sweet spot for solo first-touch and passing work. Larger frames are better for finishing reps and team use.

Should I train with a weighted ball?+

Yes — once a week, not every session. Weighted balls exaggerate poor technique and build cushioning, but overuse can slow your normal touch.
